Renown Installs Powder Coating Facility
Renown Engineering is delighted to announce the completion of their brand new in-house powder coating facility. The investment in their headquarters at Cramlington is expected to improve completion of projects. The powder coating facility will allow Renown Engineering to offer quicker lead times, lower costs, improve efficiency, and will ensure Renown has full control over the quality of the project.
The powder coating facility is ideal for providing a protective coating in aggressive, harsh, and high marine salinity (salt) environments. This makes the coating ideal for the oil and gas environment, marine industry, and severe climatic areas.
Renown Engineering is supporting fellow North-East company, Akzonobel, by using their Interpon Powders for their products. Akzonobel’s powders offer a range of solutions and protection to cover a variety of environmental classifications, including anti-corrosion. They also help reduce environmental impact, which is a core value of Renown’s.
John Hamilton, Renown Group’s Managing Director, said: ‘We are delighted to have this new facility. It will definitely improve our performance as a company as we can now offer enhanced quality and quicker delivery times. We can control the quality of the finish on our doors, screens, and any other products which require a smooth, durable, and hardwearing finish.’
The colours available are from the RAL range, most of which are offered in four gloss levels.
Renown Engineering is eager to start using the powder coating facility and look forward to seeing how much it will improve our services to our clients.
